Úplné vysvětlivky k mapě jsou uvedeny na každém mapovém listě. Předměty obsahu MSR 250 jsou znázorněny v celém mapovém poli na jednotlivých mapových listech v rozsahu území příslušného kraje, i na přiléhajících částech území sousedních krajů, avšak pouze na území ČR. Mapa se vydává ve dvou variantách - s barevným vyplněním územních správních celků a bez barevného vyplnění územních správních celků.
