Indikátor uvádí potenciální záplavu komunikací dle GIS analýzy pro danou n-letost povodně. Reálná záplava se může od potenciální lišit, je to dáno elevací komunikace nad terénem (zejména u dálnic) a stavebními prvky, které nejsou zohledněny v použité GIS vrstvě.
