The Physico-geographical Map of the Czech Republic 1 : 500,000

The Physical-Geographical Map of the Czech Republic 1 : 500 000 covers the entire territory of the Czech Republic on one map sheet, i.e. an area of 78 886 km². The map is derived from the Map of the Czech Republic 1:500 000. The map contains planimetry, altimetry, a geographical grid, descriptions and a map legend. The planimetry includes settlements, roads, hydrography, land surface (peatlands, marshes, areas of surface mining) and state boundaries. The altimetry includes terrain relief (contour lines with a 50 m interval, elevation points, hypsometric tints, caves and chasms). The description includes standardised nomenclature, elevation values (altitude data), the name and scale of the map with imprint data, graphic scale data, the text of the map legend and frame data (index field data, geographical coordinates).The content is also shown on adjacent parts of the territories of neighbouring states.
