Map of Regions of the Czech Republic 1 : 250,000

The Map of Regions of the Czech Republic 1:250 000 (MK 250) is issued as a general reference map covering the entire territory of individual regions (in the case of the Central Bohemian Region, also including the administrative district of the Capital City of Prague) as defined by the territorial administrative division of the Czech Republic. Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive view of the administrative area of the respective region and to enable users to easily orient themselves within the territory. The MK 250 covers the territory of the Czech Republic in 13 map sheets of various formats, depending on the extent and shape of individual regions. The map does not have a continuous map sheet layout (map sheets overlap). The data and graphic basis for the MK 250 consist of the geographical model Data250 for the territory of the Czech Republic and the geographical models EuroRegionalMap and EuroBoundaryMap for areas outside the Czech Republic. The terrain relief in the form of shaded relief is generated from the EuroDEM digital elevation model data. The MK 250 includes planimetry, altimetry, map lettering, and marginal and extramarginal information. Planimetry covers settlements, transport, hydrography, administrative boundaries (state, regional, district, and administrative districts of municipalities with extended competence), boundaries of large-scale specially protected areas, and vegetation and land cover (forests, marshes, peat bogs). Altimetry is represented by height points and shaded relief. Map lettering includes standardised geographical nomenclature. All content elements of the MK 250 are depicted across the entire map field of each sheet, including adjacent parts of the territories of neighbouring countries.

Map of the Municipalities with Extended Authority 1 : 50 000

The Map of Municipalities with Extended Competence 1:50 000 (MORP 50) is a topographic map providing a comprehensive view of the administrative district of the respective municipality. The map is produced on the basis of the Base Topographic Map of the Czech Republic 1:50 000 (ZTM 50). The map format is designed so that the administrative territory of each municipality with extended competence is displayed on a separate map sheet. The map sheets have no map frame; the map is processed and printed up to the edge of the sheet. Compared to the source maps, the content is modified by highlighting the boundaries of administrative territories and by colour-coding the names of municipalities with extended competence and municipalities with an authorised municipal office. The map is further supplemented with thematic content, such as the seat of the administrative office, post office, and selected elements of technical infrastructure (waste disposal sites, wastewater treatment plants, and water treatment plants). The map sheets include the geographical grid (ETRS89), and each sheet contains a legend. In addition to the administrative districts of municipalities with extended competence, the Map of the Capital City of Prague is also produced in the MORP 50 style. A total of 206 maps are available.
