Datová sada obsahuje přehled velkoplošných a maloplošných zvláště chráněných území v Karlovarském kraji a dále obsahuje kód, kategorii území, přehled ochrany, rozlohu v hektarech, typ ochrany, kategorii IUCN, minimální a maximální nadmořskou výšku území, webovou stránku AOPK ČR s informacemi o území, datumy vyhlášení, informace o orgánu ochrany přírody (název, identifikační číslo, právní formu, sídlo, kód adresy, ID datové schránky a webové stránky orgánu). Souřadnicový systém je použit WGS 1984.
