The DEGURBA alternative polygon (object-based) model, which maps the actual shape of urbanized areas using a detailed spatial distribution of the population at address points. Unlike the grid-based approach, DEGURBA allows for the precise delineation of settlement structures without the influence of a fixed grid and eliminates uninhabited areas.
Polygons of basic territorial units classified according to the prevailing DEGURBA urbanisation category. The classification is based on the aggregation of population data from the grid using address-based population allocation and the calculation of population shares across urbanisation classes.
Polygons of basic territorial units classified according to the prevailing DEGURBA category (Scope 2). The classification is based on the aggregation of population data from the grid and considers the share of population in individual urbanisation classes, including the hierarchy of the settlement system.
Polygons of basic territorial units classified using a polygon-based (object-oriented) DEGURBA model. The classification is based on accurate spatial identification of settlement clusters and subsequent aggregation of population into administrative units.
Cadastral unit polygons classified according to the prevailing DEGURBA urbanisation category. The classification is based on the aggregation of population data from the grid using address-based population allocation and the calculation of population shares across urbanisation classes.
Cadastral unit polygons classified according to the prevailing DEGURBA category (Scope 2). The classification is based on the aggregation of population data from the grid and considers the share of population in individual urbanisation classes, including the hierarchy of the settlement system
Cadastral unit polygons classified using a experimental polygon-based (object-oriented) DEGURBA model. The classification is based on accurate spatial identification of settlement clusters and subsequent aggregation of population into administrative units.
Municipality polygons classified according to the prevailing DEGURBA urbanisation category. The classification is based on the aggregation of population data from the grid using address-based population allocation and the calculation of population shares across urbanisation classes.
