Map of the Czech Republic 1 : 2,000,000

The Map of the Czech Republic 1:2 000 000 (MČR 2M) follows the content of the Map of the Czech Republic 1:500 000 and the Map of the Czech Republic 1:1 000 000. It depicts the entire territory of the Czech Republic on a single map sheet. The MČR 2M includes planimetry, altimetry, geographical grid, map lettering, and a map legend. Planimetry covers settlements, transport (motorways, roads, railways), hydrography (major watercourses and reservoirs), boundaries (state and regional), and vegetation and land cover (forests). Altimetry consists of height points. Map lettering includes standardised geographical nomenclature (names of settlements and hydrography), map title and scale with imprint data and graphic scale, the textual part of the legend, and frame data (geographical coordinates). The data files are provided in TIFF format supplemented with world files (TFW) for the S-JTSK and ETRS89-TM33N coordinate systems, and as a print file in PDF format.

The Map of the Czech Republic 1:500 000 (MČR 500) is a fundamental national map series product and is designed as a general geographical overview map. It depicts the entire territory of the Czech Republic on a single map sheet. The MČR 500 includes planimetry, height points, geographical grid, map lettering, and a map legend. Planimetry covers settlements, the transport network including motorways, expressways, and first-class roads, hydrography, boundaries (state and regional), and vegetation and land cover. Elevation is represented by height points and shaded terrain relief. Map lettering includes standardised geographical nomenclature, spot heights, map title and scale with imprint data and graphic scale, the textual part of the legend, and frame data (geographical coordinates). The geographical grid is divided at 1° intervals. The data files are provided in TIFF format supplemented with world files (TFW) for the S-JTSK and ETRS89-TM33N coordinate systems, and as a print file in PDF format.
