The Administrative Division Map of the Czech Republic 1:250 000 (MSR 250) covers the territory of the Czech Republic in 13 map sheets of various formats, depending on the extent and shape of individual regions. The map does not have a continuous map sheet layout (map sheets overlap). The MSR 250 includes administrative boundaries, settlements, and map lettering. Boundaries are classified as state, regional, and district boundaries, as well as boundaries of administrative districts within the Capital City of Prague. Further categories include boundaries of statutory cities, city districts or city parts within statutory cities, territorial districts and city parts in the Capital City of Prague, administrative districts of municipalities with extended competence (level III municipalities), municipalities with an authorised municipal office (level II municipalities), municipalities and cities, cadastral units (territorial technical units), and boundaries where a municipality extends into the territory of another municipality. Settlements are classified as the capital city, statutory cities, regional capitals, towns, market towns, municipalities, military districts, and their parts. The seats of regions, administrative districts in the Capital City of Prague, municipalities with extended competence, and municipalities with an authorised municipal office are indicated by underlining. Map lettering includes the names of settlements, districts, city districts or city parts within statutory cities, and territorial districts and city parts in the Capital City of Prague, as well as marginal and extramarginal information and the textual part of the legend. Complete explanatory notes are provided on each map sheet. All content elements of the MSR 250 are depicted across the entire map field of each sheet within the territory of the respective region and on adjacent parts of neighbouring regions, exclusively within the territory of the Czech Republic. The map is published in two variants: with colour filling of administrative units and without colour filling. The latter variant is particularly suitable for adding custom thematic content.

The Map of Regions of the Czech Republic 1:250 000 (MK 250) is issued as a general reference map covering the entire territory of individual regions (in the case of the Central Bohemian Region, also including the administrative district of the Capital City of Prague) as defined by the territorial administrative division of the Czech Republic. Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive view of the administrative area of the respective region and to enable users to easily orient themselves within the territory. The data and graphic basis for the MK 250 consist of the geographical model Data250 for the territory of the Czech Republic and the geographical models EuroRegionalMap and EuroBoundaryMap for areas outside the Czech Republic. The terrain relief in the form of shaded relief is generated from the EuroDEM digital elevation model data. The MK 250 includes planimetry, altimetry, map lettering, and marginal and extramarginal information. Planimetry covers settlements, transport, hydrography, administrative boundaries (state, regional, district, and administrative districts of municipalities with extended competence), boundaries of large-scale specially protected areas, and vegetation and land cover (forests, marshes, peat bogs). Altimetry is represented by height points and shaded relief. Map lettering includes standardised geographical nomenclature. All content elements of the MK 250 are depicted across the entire map field of each sheet, including adjacent parts of the territories of neighbouring countries.
